Hands-On Sustainability: Waste Weighing and Carbon Calculations
This year, we introduced two engaging initiatives that sparked great conversations and awareness among participants:
The Waste Weighing Station: Attendees had the opportunity to see first-hand how much waste is generated at an event. This interactive approach helped illustrate the importance of waste management and reduction strategies in real time.
Carbon Calculator for Daily Food Consumption: Food choices have a significant impact on an event’s carbon footprint. By calculating the carbon emissions of their daily meals, participants gained insight into the environmental consequences of their food consumption and how small changes can make a big difference.
Measuring the Carbon Footprint of Conventa 2025
While the event may be over, our work is far from done! We are currently in the process of calculating the total carbon footprint of Conventa 2025, assessing its environmental impact from start to finish. These results will provide valuable data on how events like Conventa can continue to improve their sustainability efforts year after year.
