On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, Ljubljana will host SWITCH, an educational workshop and overture to Conventa Meet 2026. The event will focus on the practical implementation of sustainable event organisation practices. Conceived by the Planet Positive Event team, the official sustainability partner of Conventa, SWITCH is designed as a hands-on laboratory where attendees can not only learn about sustainable approaches in event organising, but experience, try, and measure them in practice.

The Slovenian meetings industry will be exhibiting at one of the industry’s central events next week – IBTM World in Barcelona. Seventeen providers and suppliers will present their services at the famed trade show, attended by over 12,000 participants annually. Among Slovenia’s strategic goals is organising events responsible to the environment, society and attendees. The first step to reach this objective is measuring the carbon footprint of events. To measure the effects of the Slovenian stand at the trade show, they will use the innovative Slovenian tool Planet Positive Event, developed by Toleranca marketing and Arctur.

After more than a year of development, Toleranca Marketing and Arctur rolled out an innovative tool for creating sustainability ratings of events and certifying them. Before the official inauguration, the tool was tried and tested at corporate pilot projects and Conventa. The pioneering creators were among the first to combine a cutting-edge carbon footprint calculator, precise criteria for sustainable events, a certification system and external assessment following the ESRS Standards for sustainable reporting.
