Planet Positive Sport is proud to support the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) in measuring and improving the sustainability performance of volleyball events around the world. Together, we’re helping turn sustainability into measurable action through transparent reporting, carbon footprint calculation and continuous improvement.

As one of the world’s leading international sports federations, FIVB has made sustainability a key pillar of its long-term strategy. To support these ambitions, FIVB partnered with Planet Positive Sport to introduce a consistent and measurable approach to sustainability across its international event portfolio.

Built on the Planet Positive Event platform, PPSport enables organisers to collect sustainability data, calculate carbon emissions and generate independent sustainability reports that support better decision-making and long-term progress.

The collaboration began with a successful pilot programme involving six international volleyball events.

Following its success, the partnership expanded significantly. Today, Planet Positive Sport supports sustainability assessments across multiple FIVB competitions, including:

  • Volleyball Nations League
  • Volleyball Nations League Finals
  • Beach Pro Tour Challenge
  • Beach Pro Tour Elite
  • FIVB World Championships

The platform is now being used by organisers across Europe, Asia, North America and South America, creating a consistent sustainability framework for events hosted in different countries and by different organising committees.

The collaboration with FIVB demonstrates how sustainability can be embedded into international sport through practical tools, measurable data and continuous improvement.

As more sports organisations place sustainability at the centre of their event strategies, Planet Positive Sport continues to provide a scalable solution that can be tailored to the needs of federations, leagues, clubs and event organisers worldwide.
